The normal 6 speed is ok it takes a Dex 6 fluid which is 16.50 a lt. will use up to 14 lt. to get a good flush plus the gasket / filter kit probably about $40. and labour $85. If it has the BMW type transmission the fluid alone is about $700. The plastic pan is replaced to replace the filter also expensive."My question is: how do I know which transmission is in my car? Also, will it have a trans cooler as standard or is this something I should be adding at the same time?Cheers

The steel pan though if they replace it (which is a good thing to do as the plastic ones make changing it in the future a pain and it's also a lot more sturdy) is a few hundred dollars I think from memory (100-300 or so).
