About 6000 km's ago went through and replaced all gaskets from head to front pipe on the exhaust and I'm having to retorque the bolts every couple thousand km's it's not blowing gasket's you'll just hear it get loud and it'll be as fast a hyundai. The norm?

That should be your manifold to head bolts. Very common to come loose on turbo cars because of the back pressure the turbo creates. Also check your turbo to dump bolts, turbo to manifold bolts and the ones on the back cover. Should be retorqued every service.

Cheers.

The CHRA bolt near the drain line for coolant of the turbo is another one that seems to rattle loose and end up sitting on the banjo bolt head...the others only loose a half turn or so.

turbo and exhaust manifold bolts should be checked and retorqued at every service, many of the aftermarket dump pipes are supplied with warped flanges and leak quite often unless refaced, the CHRA bolts coming loose indicate your housing is cracked

It's not usually manifold to head bolts sometimes I can get a quarter of a turn out of them, I've double nutted the the dump pipe and no longer lose nuts or get loose nuts on that. It's always turbo to manifold and I've put a square on both and they don't seem warped. I don't even make a service in 11,000kms I've had to retorque them 4 times and replace all gaskets once. Not the first turbo car I've owned, first turbo car I've owned with these issues lol.

wait wait what is someone talking about when they say turbo housing is cracked if a certain bolt is loose?

Are we talking about the bolts on the actual turbo itself holding compressor cover for exhaust/intake on?

like all of mine are loose and one is hanging out....I do not have ANY idea how a mechanic can actually tighten these bolts it is just astonishing.

Take it to most mechanics, and you might find like me that some just do not want to do this job for you and others are fine with it.

I had problems with the comming loose...for the turbo to manifold I used the sonic stud kit that comes with coper nuts...seem to be working great !! however one of the manifold to head bolts has striped the thread out of the head...how do I fix that haha??
