Inducer applies to both the comp and turbine wheel. Precision (as do most) use the Comp Inducer and Turbine Exducer as they directly effect the flow capability/response of the turbo.

Yes, this is essentially what I meant, as the smaller of the two measurements is the one that's talked about and referred to (the bigger one is not as useful)

What I was trying to simplify is these two things:

1. The induction compressor "small measurement" is the "inducer on the compressor side"

2. The exhaust turbine "small measurement" is the "exducer on the exhaust side"

 

It's just simpler to refer to the "inducer" as the "compressor useful measurement" and the "exducer" as the "exhaust useful measurement", even if it is not the full truth.

 

Bottom line, turbo's are weird, but awesome!
