Great idea to go back to 10PSI as you mentioned the previous owner ran that instead.

Also go with what wingnut said, unfortunately these cars are expensive to modify "correctly", you can also spend big $$ replacing parts along the lie to figure out rough idle/lost power. Lower the tune, drive it with mechanical sympathy and save pennies for a custom tune, it will be far more worth it from what you've said in regards to finding just the right car with good condition leather etc. Would be a very sad day for you if it popped.

In saying that if it did pop its like 4.5k for a bf mk2 motor complete with box n complete conversion 2nd hand. Would just have to wait for 1 to come up.. only thing is its obviously a gamble if the motor is good or not. Usually there's 3 months warranty unmodified. Tbh if mine pops ill probly just grab a 2nd hand fg motor.
