Aps Phase 6 1000hp?

I had a brief chat to one of the guys at Ming Automotive (friend of a friend) who handle APS stuff in the ACT while at Summernats, and he mentioned the ultimate goal of a Phase 6 XR6T making roughly 1000HP. Naturally there would be bottom end mods and further drivetrain mods to cope with that kind of power. He didn't say much else but that would be a brutal car if they could pull it off. He is a Rex man, but loves the APS-kitted XR6Ts

I'm sure this sort of hp is definately not out of reach for a twin cam 4lt turbo but there would have to be alot of bottom end and drive line strengthening.

I can't imagine this sort of hp being very useful in a rear wheel drive street driven car, it would be very uncontrollable. If anyone has been in an 800hp GTR you'll understand.

damn that would be one fast car, that'll shut those crapodores up, but their would be heaps of pressure on the gearbox and drivetrain :smilielol::smilielol:

Has anyone seen the last issue of MOTOR mag looks like a couple of good articles one on bolt on power upgrades Rob Herrod Vs Some other bloke head to head on the best make for upgrades and another huge feature article on APS and Peters future development work looks good but that's about all I can tell you about haven't fully read it yet. Check it out.

Some of the Skyline GTR's in Japan are running 1000Hp AND MORE in street trim.

I have a Skyline Special Mag here and there was an R33 by the tuning company Endless, it was road registered (but I dont think very drivable) with over 1200Hp! It was running low 9's on street tyres!!!!!!

And that is out of a 2.8L Twin turbo (HKS GT 3040's), we basically have the same layout but I dont know if the Bore/Stroke of the 4.0L will allow safe high revs?...mind you if you were spending $50,000+ on an ENGINE (just engine, not drivetrain!) Im pretty sure you can get any figures!
