A few thoughts......Throttle body - clean cotton rags and some carby cleaner and CAREFULLY clean the blade - dont lift the blade with metal screw drivers; use something softer - an icecream stick is actually okay. That is a job ford can do but I think they take off the throttle body which is good but perhaps not necessary as it does cost a bit. Cleaning - it does seem to help idle quality. If you have original brake fluid get rid of + replace that too - that can be done at home with a mate. I don't like old fuel filters - some c spanners and 15 minutes and 30 bux sorts that out.Simple stuff like wiper blades, wash+clean PCV valve, a good look at the drive belt and any cracks replace it - all home jobs if you like.If you drive it hard ....... maybe spark plugs??? Number 6 is a b**ger to remove but a small 3/8th socket set and some patience and it works out.IMO, if you set this work up it is not a bad way to spend a saturday arvo locked up in the garage and away from she-who-must-be-obeyed.
