Just curious and need to ask, I've fabricated some stainless steel storage boxes thatI hope to mount behind my seats in my ute,It's a 2006 BF xr6, The location desired for these 2 facilities is that Step up just before the back of the cab wall,I want to cut a section out the top and dropThese boxes in , and recarpet over the lid so it looks nice and neat.Just curious to know if anyone knows what's underneath the step,Wire lumes etc or if its even possible to do so? Feedback appreciated! Cheers!

Neixy Member 9 Member For: 13y 1m 3d Posted 13/06/13 10:43 AM Author Share Posted 13/06/13 10:43 AM I basically want added storage,Where I'm able to store multiple items and lock them in thereThat are out if sight, and look nice,I'm not fond of having tool boxes lying around that can be pinched. So I wanted to modify that Step, just cut a rectangle dimension out the topDrop the two fabricated cases in there,Sikaflex to seal and screw down.Recarpet the lid so it's appealing,If its too much hassle or poses a risk to the vehicles structure/safety I'll need to work something else out. I have removed carpet to get wiring through before and there is a bit of room but unsure of any frames that add to the structure inside it.I like the idea and good on ya for thinking of it, just find an engineer who knows the inside of that area and can tell ya yes or no.Wonder if Bunna knows about this at all?
