Hey ratter I never said what size the cooler was ???

The furious kit that a lot of people have used already runs 3/8 hose, so I wouldn't have thought there would be a problem, plus im sure the factory hose's are only 3/8 internal diameter.

The cooler was bought to use on my 351 with c4 full manual valve body, I've used similar before and never had an issue, am I missing something ??

Ratter do you do a kit that is suitable to be mounted under the passenger footwell/ seat area between the two rails like Vevapower has ??

Thanks again guys I am used to working on the old beast's but these new one's might be a whole different kettle of fish, im just trying to get my head around this all so sorry pls bare with me.

The zf is just a very "technical" box when it comes to temps and pressures and zf themselves bang on about how it has to be to the book in regards to specs ( even doing a service ) when the oil has to be at 32 degrees to check the correct level of oil at the filler etc etc the method of going through the gears wile its on the hoist etc etc

Its a very smart box

But saying that I have been using one of those furious performance kits for close on 40,000kms now with non genuine oil ( gulf western ) and mine is 100% ( 170,000kms now )

But to say iam lucky ?? Maybe , maybe not

There is the "right" way and "other" ways of getting a result its up to the individual really

Hey mick what effects have u seen from the dash 6 fitting cooler vs a dash 10 cooler ?

I haven't seen a failed ZF at all yet, but incoversations with 2 leading specialists they both say flow is critical

the ZF uses 1/2" or 13mm pipes etc to maintain flow, PWR are the only ones I know of that do a kit with the correct size hoses, fittings, cooler etc

Thanks guys, ok so they are finiky.

J@snot I had actually been reading about yours, I think that you are still using the original lines up to where the original cooler was and then have used the push in joiners provided and then the 3/8 hose provided as well up to the cooler is this correct?

I want to mount mine under the floor on the passenger side footwell, im now thinking of loosening the bracket around the fittings rotating them 180 degrees so they face backwards to the standard position and use as much of the standard hoses as possible buy the fittings that push in to the lines that would normally go onto the ford cooler off furious and then use a small amount of 3/8 hose to connect it up to the cooler, Im then hoping that this would at least have minimal issue's.

Thoughts guys.

the ford hoses are plastic, they do not seal very well long term when modified, you are better off getting new hoses made up and not having issues,

my thoughts are still to get the correct size hardware
