You need to really plan out an external cooler install on a zf. I would suggest using a stronger radiator/heat exchanger as well as an external cooler. Run them in series. Was driving how it was meant to be and changing when it needed to. The trans place quoted $300 per solenoid and 9 of them in the box therefore totalling $2700.....
