Terrible news...but not unexpected.

It was Ford that ruined Ford here.. Advertising For the Falcon was rarely on TV just some bird in a Territory who wanted to go see her FB friends on 1 tank of fuel..Posted on FB when I visited my Brother inlaw for lunch at Ford HQ because that's where he worked at Broady, the staff car park was full if Holdens/nissans/toyotas/Mazda's and some Fords not many but some.Ford offered there employees and family 24% off a new Australian built car.. Not many used it.. Not even the Workers bar a few like Bunna and my Bro inlaw used it. Ford should have never got rid off the Falcon wagon, should have made a Coupe of some sort and listened to the consumer.. Benefits on both sides, employee's pay less tax as technically make less money.. But be driving a new car.

Unions don't protect workers, they simply line their own pockets. (My experience hence my own opinion) Dags is also correct. A discount or salary sacrifice against a sh*te product that is already over priced isn't a discount at all. I purchased my T for close to 50k, completely stupid and regret doing it but my own fault. I drive away in an Bogan special ute for 36k brand new. Basically the same car but from different suppliers. Even at 36k that is a stupid amount of money for the type of of car let alone 50k. Making cars in this country, especially low quality, technologically challenged cars is simply too expensive.
