So it looks like the Taurus SHO won't be a worthy replacement for the T.

I knew from the first moment they announced the BA XR6T it would gain a cult following, and would be the ideal car for me...BIG 6 Turbo with heaps of power and even more potential.

I was content to keep updating, and riding the evolutionary wave of new models...because the cars basic characteristics really appealed to me.

It really suited the way I drive...that effortless torque and acceleration...

I really see no replacement or substitute for the T...which is very sad indeed

Also Agree would be good to see the model go out with a bang and a new GTHO as a send off.

I some how don't think it will be I recon we will be left with a Mondeo that will be the new replacement for Falcon (Front wheel drive will never buy one).

Even though Ford closing is nothing new it was put out in public a year ago at least that this was happening. I was informed that they might sell Ford Mustangs in Aust for around $38.000 prob the basic model to keep us rear wheel dive people in the market.

No wonder it's turned to sh*t, the enterprise agreement that Ford employees work under is out of this world. I really do feel sorry for anyone that will lose their job because they will find it very hard to adjust to reality.

The redundancy payment is four weeks, plus four weeks for each year of service up to a maximum of 90, plus an additional weeks pay for each year of service if it's because of factory closure that is uncapped, plus unused long service and annual leave (which is normal), plus unused sick leave.

So as bad as this news is, everyone has still got a job for over 3 years and a lot will be walking away with over two years pay on top as well. That is just fckn amazing.

Thanks unions - you're awesome.
