My belated granny had a mighty boy, it was fckn awesome. Need a can opener to get out of the bloody thing though.

On the topic if redundancies yes they are being very well looked after. If you go back to the start of this thread you'll probably find a rant or two of mine on the topic, but yeah from memory some are getting a year or two of full pay.

Unions. Great for workers, better than world-class conditions even if it means sending the employers broke. :mexicanwave:

No wonder it's turned to sh*t, the enterprise agreement that Ford employees work under is out of this world. I really do feel sorry for anyone that will lose their job because they will find it very hard to adjust to reality.

The redundancy payment is four weeks, plus four weeks for each year of service up to a maximum of 90, plus an additional weeks pay for each year of service if it's because of factory closure that is uncapped, plus unused long service and annual leave (which is normal), plus unused sick leave.

So as bad as this news is, everyone has still got a job for over 3 years and a lot will be walking away with over two years pay on top as well. That is just fckn amazing.

Thanks unions - you're awesome.

Maybe they'll start taking the Chev badges off and put Expensive Daewoo badges on the American imports?
