Indeed - I wouldn't be feeling to happy if I had a car currently on the production line.

Care factor of the workers will have taken a nose dive today :(

That said - I wouldn't be feeling too happy if I was a worker on the production line or associated industries today.

Was reading the comments in The Age article on this. Some people are making a point of how free trade agreements are to blame. Comparing us to the US who has a much larger population and a smaller choice of car companies to choose from. How are Ford and Expensive Daewoo supposed to compete with the cheaper imports?

The government should have put a stop to imports .... Just my opinion.

Who wants to see Hyundais Skodas Great Wall Kia cars etc driving on our roads.

The sales figures for the Falcon were always going to look bad when they stopped building the wagon. Taxi companies and fleet companies don't want to buy SUVs.

Plus you will get $hit trade in's now as who would want to buy a car they don't make...

Might hit up my brother inlaw get the 25% off and get a new FG and store it away..
