Now that we have had a night to sleep on it....and the heart beat is back where it should be, we would like to thank Trumpy for a great weekend. For anyone who hasn't been on one of these drives (as was the case for us before this weekend), the mateship is brilliant, and everyone made us feel very welcome....except for the bunch of rude bastards between Canberra and Liverpool who pulled faces and poked their tongues out at us as we drove past (not sure what that's about).

The highlight for me (and I am but a simple man), was the look on the kids faces as we went through small townships, one XRT after another, it was like they were in a daze.

The lowlight (apart from the obvious), was when my 2Yr old decided to redecorate the interior of the car. Plexis red just doesn't go with yellow, orange, green and khaki.....and where the f*ck did all those carrots come from !!!!! (a good thing Joe carries a full laundry supply in the back of the ute....must be a messy eater)

Again, thanks to everybody involved....especially Matt. :finger:

Oh no.. Not the Lamington's...

What Ken got us all to eat at Anaminaby (spelling). Thanks Ken ;) (even though I didn't have one)..

that's a classic. Dag's we need to change Ken's avartar

Trumpy, what can I say..... That was freaking sweet :finger:

Was great to meet HgAg's illustrious leader, same with every one else. Was interesting to see how other people had changed their cars to suit them and even better to see them drive.

Even dankdaddy loved it.... I had to wrestle him for the keys at the power station after I let him drive between the pitstop just inside the national park and Murray 1  I've got a heap of photos, but I'll have to get that camera of dad first before I can throw them up here.

We had loads of fun, even if I took a few thousand k's off the tyres. I'm definately off to Biti Motors for another set of disks tomorrow.

Sorry we had to turn to tumut at instead of following you back to cooma. My brother had broken down just short of Golburn so we had to make a mad dash to help him out. I've attached a pic.

I'm very supprised at how well the turbo went. The trailer we had started to sway at 100, so I kept the speed at 95. 4th gear all the way back to Wagga. 11.8L/100km I was gob smacked. Normally the car down that run is lucky to get 10.1L/100km. I'm stuffed but work needed me this morning. After a 3am start on Sunday morning, I got home at 1am This morning

Well, I'm not sure what cruise you people were on, but I had a lousy time and if I ever get my hands on Trumpy's scrawny neck, I'll ring it till all the *&%^* dirt falls off my car!

If it wasn't *&^(*& dirts roads, it was goat-tracks winding (vertically) up the sides of (*&(^% high mountains. My hands were sweating so bad, I could hardly hold the steering wheel.

Between the hard pillows and the forum members picking fights with the locals at some un-godly hour of the morning .... no sleep ... up early to clean the crap off the car (re earlier comment about dirt roads). I even had to clean some of the other member's cars. (photos to come  )

Ordered breakfast, only to have it stollen by another member! You know who you are.

Couldn't even get a simple coffee ... WHITE WITH NO SUGAR, THANKS ... how hard can it be ...

Every time I parked somewhere, I'd get parked in ... I'm sure this was planned. Thanks to my fellow Team HgAg members for helping me out.

Got harrased on the way home by some (supposedly) honest Kiwi (pffft, as if!!) trying to run us off the road taking photos.

I must admit, it wasn't a total waste of time ... did get to listen to Dot's (sorry Marg) running commentary of passing cars. Just about wet myself, especially when she was "getting excited". The Kiwi's aren't going to know what's hit them.

I will say that I'm really glad that we have the people we do. Great to meet new people and know instantly that they are going to slot straight in. Especially happy to see we have a couple of "feisty" females amongst us. Loved some of the comments on the CB! Not sure where they got the time, though ... should have been making coffee instead of gabbing away ... :hrmm:

I had a great weekend.

Thanks to everyone for attending, it really was a fantastic sight to see so many XR6's snaking through the mountains.

This weekend proved once again what a great car these XR6Ts are, they were designed for the conditions. Plenty of torque for the hills, good roadholding, and great ride on the rougher sections. I had a ball.

Especially memorable was the section from the Power Station to Cabramurra, where I was in front leading Ken, ducatiJB and a few others. We set a nice pace (not fast, just a comfortable cruising speed) and enjoyed the corners and the scenery at the same time. And then of course we hung sh1t on Ken for being scared of heights as the road was built on the edge of a serious mountain...

It was great to see all the regular cruisers again, and catch up over a few drinks on Saturday night. Also fantastic to see so many new faces, and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

To Ken, Falchoon, and anyone else whinging about the dirt road...:thumbsup:

Not my problem..... perhaps you can contact this gentleman to address your concerns. A bit of dirt never hurt anybody.

(Dis)Honest (kiwi) Gaza.... you be careful posting photos like that, you'll get a reputation.

Thanks again to YCL for all his help this weekend, from providing me with the map (after I lost mine at home somewhere) to organising the power station tour for us, and taking the special photo at the dam wall. Good work

Thanks again to everybody for a great weekend, had a ball and cant wait to get together for the next one.

Amazing how we all have different driving styles

Observe Ken's total concentration as his eyes remain focused on the road....tongue firmly between his lips. ( Co-pilot appears a little worried as she reaches for another swig of the flask )

I swear I took this picture. Certainly looks proffesional. Taking a picture of an XR following me at about 100km/h on the way to Jindabyne this morning. (message to self: keep eyes on road).

Top picture KrasH, I love it. Well done!
