boost69 Donating Members 737 Member For: 19y 7m 28d Posted 21/05/13 11:21 PM Share Posted 21/05/13 11:21 PM Guys,Sometimes when I start the car up in the morning and I'm slowly driving off, for the first five minutes or so, I can hear a very light tapping noise coming from the motor.Once the car is warmed up there is no noise what so ever...Just wandering what the noise could be, or wether anyone else has noticed a similar noise.It sort of sounds like a very slight lifter type of noise.Thinking wether it could be the oil I use, or wether its some type of minor exhaust leak...Any suggestions are appreciated. I had this before, turbo heat shield just needed adjusting. As you said, a light tapping, I could feel through footwell, when cold. Hope this helps.
