I have some Weapon X coils on the way to hopefully fix the problem but just wondering if there could be anything else it might be. It sounds like its detonating... my alternator is slowly kicking the bucket- could this also play a role?cheersDaimo

Should stick with genuine ford ones..

Do a search.. Heaps of people have had issues with non genuine coils..

Weapon x coils have been hit and miss, some have shown the same effects of a old factory coil.Detonating, so you can hear it knock, I would take the foot off the gas till its sorted out.
