sykes Member 408 Member For: 21y 6m 5d Location: Brisbane (Parkinson) Posted 14/01/04 06:44 AM Share Posted 14/01/04 06:44 AM I had a lot of problems with my AUII XR6 ute and I got on to Ford Customer Relations in Melbourne and went as high as I could and told them what was happening. They then inturn rand the sevice dept. and low and behold after a couple of phone calls to them though, it was eventually fixed. But I still wont bother getting minor paint imperfections fixed unless they are quite big. Let me tell you, not worth the hassal no matter where you go. Hey I resemble that remark Back on thread for a second. Have they tried whacking either a New ECU or Alternator into the car? Both could be ducking up the power on a few levels.. You'd reckon a smart arsed sparky would hook a Cro* across the ACC, and IGN lines and seen the lovely pwoer ripples and so on * Cro = Cathode Ray Oscilloscpe NOT the FXR6T.com MemberA. Posted 14/01/04 10:28 AM Share Posted 14/01/04 10:28 AM So now you've got a working CD player and a date in court to defend the harrasment charge! Harassment????!!!!!! His company sold you the car, he is the CEO therefore he is responsible! That's why he is the CEO, everything that Ford Australia does he is accountable for....that's why he is on at least a 6 figure income with bonuses, share options etc; etc;......company shows a loss he is accountable, government (Dept of Fair Trading etc;) have a query he is accountable..........goes with the job.........and he gets the first GT, then the first GTHO.........lucky b@stard!! Which is One week from today. As I stated beforehand though I will still get rid of the car, because I can no longer trust either my servicing dealer nor Ford Australia. The whole time I've been chasing this problem its been a case of passing the buck to someone else.I really do pity those of you who have safety and performance related issues with your car, and who believe that Ford is truly working for your benefit and not for corporate cost minimization.Cameron

I think if you get a lemon, you get a lemon, put sugar on it and it still tastes bitter underneath. I'm with you, I've spent plenty and the car has never gone right from about 10 days after fitting unichip, I blamed the unichip for a long time but all along it was a Ford sensor. I'm afraid the novelty, pleasure and excitement has turned to anger, frustration, and scorn. I've got a GT-P due in Feb and this lemon will be long gone before then. God help the dealership if the V8s a lemon as well. I'm afraid I've lost my faith, then again the MOTOR mag article sucked me in. I always was a V8 man. FordTechWhilst I always find your posts informative & big thanks too, there appears to be a huge communication gap between HO and the dealers. Either that or the dealers are full of B.S. An example if I may ( this has been posted before).Nov/ Dec took T in for brake shudder. Nup never heard of it on a BA !!!OK, why dont you machine the disks and replace shims . " dont know what your on mate but never heard of it "By this time the issue was far from new and the " permanent fix" well posted and established by this time.= FOB OFF.Required a call to FMC to get satisfaction. I actually enjoyed the bollocking the dealer got whilst I was on hold.Make me feel like a CS, not gain matee I'll give ya a tipOther dealers have been more helpful particularly those in other states and my thanks go out to them.Bottom line is FMC manufacturing and dealers are killing this car instead of maxxxing out on its potential.Instead of being on a winner , you guys have potentially ruined the rep of a great car.( Ford Tech this is at your co. not you)Please read my other post for some context. Sorry for the numerous rants tonight but I cannot sit by and lets the ineptitude of FMC ruin the rep of what is potentially a truly great carSurely FMC are getting the picture .............if not bad luck.one word ............CONSISTENCYrant over for now.WT

With 3208 members, which many, including myself don't actually own a T, it would be interesting to find out the actual sales to date of the XR6T. I personally think there is a high percentage of T's out there with problems like ones in these posts......

I can only imagine how you feel!Recently I bought a 1987 Nissan Pintara (Stop It! YOU, stop sniggering!) with the belief that it had an entirely new engine (reco less than 2000KM ago), it was bought from an NRMA mechanic (though not "officially" through the NRMA and no it wasnt a mechanics car wither) It was back in the shop three times within a week as the distributor FELL off and it stripped three rocker studs! As soon as I got it back, it began to overheat immediately and constantly, I continue to flush oil from the radiator almost daily and it takes around 1 Litre of water every 65Km.I have replaced the Head Gasket and done bits and pieces totalling $1500.I flat out refuse to take the car back to the mechanic I bought it from...He has "fixed" it three times and its got bloody worse each times!Every time I drive past the workshop I consider a molitov Cocktail! and the bas*ard of a thing only cost me $2000! I can't even start to think what I would do if I paid $45,000+ for a car AND COULD NOT GET IT FIXED!I offer my apologies and hope that you fix this out once and for all! May with a free GT-P!Cheers, brendan
