Thought I would try and get a list of different oils/fluids and capacities for the various gear box's out there.

I have drained mine to do a oil change while changing the clutch.

I have a fg manual t6060. Whats the concensus on which oil/fluid is best for the t6060 and how much does it take.

It may be a good idea to note all the box's in this thread.

Is transmax z suitable for the fg tr6060?

nah not really they have brass syncros and it doesn't agree with it.I used it on mine and was quite notchy then changed back to dextron 3 reccommened by ford and found its heaps better stick to capacity in the manual and you'll be fine its 3.85 litres

BF2 T56 Capacity 4.85L (3.85L in V8).

Transmax Z Dex 3 works fine.

Is the FG 3.85?

Transmax z was the ideal fluid to use in the fg manual until the formula was changed last year. Mainlube, Penrite & Dextron seems the way to go. [in this order]

yeah the new formula is no good and the wrong colour lol. 3.85 is the factory amount in the manual kroozin nice spelling by the way do you know something ford doesn't?I've tried both amounts 3.85 is heaps better shift than 4.85 trust me.
