Went into corporate office today and ran into some people I have not seen in a while and got comments such as " how does it feel driving a Piece of fruit ?""Your car is a sh*t box" ," couldn't pull the top off a RICE PUDDIN "Dunny door drivers are less complimentary. This car is getting a vewwwwy bad name.Personally .... touches wood I am happy ....for now.BCIHEO( Best car etc)But the issue is that there are more than numerous gripes( and most justified)and this is reaching the broader community.I would dearly love to see a sales trend over time to establish whether the beloved T is maintaining its status as a "cult car "or becoming a stay clear & high risk vehicle.FMC, I believe cannnot continue to enjoy the luxury of extended waits for this vehicle until there is a modicun of CONSISTENCy in build and performance.Anyone who has run a business KNOWS that current who gives a rats "go to market strategy" is setting its self up for ultimate failure. For you good people with some agro( me too at times )FORD, F*&*ing listen to these people..... Geoff and Co stop conning yourselves that once the car is sold that you have a client. a customer/ shopper / consumer is a very different beast. On behalf of the grievedFM.................C'mon LIFT LIFT LIFT

My only other car that comes close in recent memory as a package was a series 4 RX7, now that was a sweet car abeit a little impractical with two growing children.Having owned 3 Commondores (wagons) in a row and having to spent thousands to make them look good, handle and stop, this is the best package family sedan I could find for under $50,000.Let's not forget this is a series one and if you look back in history most series one cars were considered lemons once all the bugs were ironed out in future models. That said I think that FOMCO has done a fantastic job of producing a world class Sports Sedan.I can't wait to see what the future holds 'cause it's only gunna get better from here.CheersBig AL

Wife loves the car.Kids are the envy of all the school and hence love the car.Reality is with a good service centre all the problems both big and small are soon taken care of. I have had my fair share of problems mainly the common ones like brake shudder, coolant 'o'-ring but never an agument from the dealer just "no worries we will fix it under warantee as quickly a possible for you"Good car and Good service from the dealer you can't get it any better. For those who unfortunatly have dealers who argue with you and are reluctant to fix you beast I can understand your frustration. Just take it somewhere else it is worth the drive for the correct service.
Guest FalconGTHO351 Guests Posted 17/01/04 06:58 AM Share Posted 17/01/04 06:58 AM (edited) Rattles, squeaks, f*cked brakes, downright dangerous at over 200kph, sorry about this language on my first post but, what a load of commodore!!! the XR6 Turbo is AWESOME at speeds above 230km/h when you're flying past an R8 (or maloo) ute that's trying to give you a run even!check out: http://www.geocities.com/falconxr6turbo200...3/XR6TURBO.html I've never driven a car of this calibre, sure there's a minor clunk from the rear every so often when going from 1st to reverse and vice-versa, but HELL, it sure beats the hell out of refilling the oil every couple of km's, or getting a whole new diff or a whole new gearbox or a whole new engine for that matter!!! incase you don't know, these are MAJOR problems with the h****ns!!! as for someone's comments on the brakes? BULLPIT!!! the brakes stop you on a dime!!! from 150km/h to stop in under 4 seconds almost throwing you through the windscreen, thank Henry for seatbelts I say, NOTHING prepared me for the negative G's those brakes give Edited 17/01/04 07:07 AM by FalconGTHO351

I don't own it though, it is my company car. (love my job too) If I was allowed too and hadn't just bought a house, I would have bought one for my wife too. I still think that one day I will get one, because I cannot modify my company cars. I have been very lucky and had 3 different turbo's over the last year and a bit, with my next one due in a few weeks. Each one has had minor issues that have been fixed under warranty. My current ride is at the dealers getting the brakes done at the moment. I will say that if the car was mine the minor probs would be annoying me alot more than they do.I haven't driven many performance cars and this one has got to be one of the best cars I have ever driven in my limited experience. sh*t DUDE!!!! ARE YOU RICH???What do you do for a living????????? damn drug dealers.......
