sorry dallas. The car is awesome. we are happy with the choice, as are many others. IMO, saying you are eg. fed up with the brakes so are selling the car is so stupid. a new car is a new car, bound to have problems, all are covered under warranty, come here to complain if the DON'T fix them.

l dont agree with you here Glenn.

Ford didnt invent disc brakes for the BA, they have been around on Aussie made cars since 1977 and on imported cars for much longer than that. They have obviously saved $$ on the brakes and in doing so pissed a lot of people off. Taking the car back to the dealer repeatedly for brakes is bullsh*t, l can see why some would want to sell their cars. The inconvenience and possible safety compromise with brakes that repeatedly shudder makes it an appealing option for some.

hey Mondie ,my XY is a 71 year build and had discs on the front.

my sons capri is a 70 year build and has twin pot pistons on the front, outer and inner(not sure if this is standard though)

My XY set up for front disc brake was all one piece, the hub, bearings, the disck, fitted on to the axel.

Now on the BA the disc is removable on its own,not part of a solid setup as the XY,I reckon Its cause the new sh!t pads kill the discs so ford went the cheap way so discs come off easy to replace them

Got my T last night. Already 200km I have placed on the clock. Just awesome. I optioned it with leather interior, when I received the car it was black leather from factory with red XR. Awesome as I was expecting the standard grey leather... pics soon. charging battery on camera this morning. Its a Jan04 built car & you get the gloss engine bay now too...

One must always remember, many new cars from all manufacturers will have some minor or major problems. Some none. Its luck of the draw. I pray mine stays perfect. Of to drive again....

What a brilliant car, the exhaust sound as you floor it is intoxicating.

Just have this little problem with work getting in the way of "drive time". Roll on the weekend.
