Guest Crusty Guests Posted 20/01/04 05:02 AM Share Posted 20/01/04 05:02 AM I agree with all your sentiments. It's a fantastic car but those niggling problems tend to get to you after a while.I can put up with the shuddering brakes but it's the steering problem that gets me.I've had it back twice and its back again. It sounds like there's a bloody jackhammer under my bonnet when I turn the steering wheel. The dealer has told me to just get it looked at on my next service, it's not dangerous! I think that a lot of the people who don't have any problems don't bother posting their views, whereas the people with problem do, who can blame them really, it's a good way to vent the frustration.Personally I've had a few minor problems due to average assembly when the ute was brand new, but since then I've had trouble free running. Every brand will have lemons and little faults you can only hope it doesn't happen to you.

However MOSt owners are quite happy with their "T". Read a bit more before you make any rash decisions...Take a look at the POLL at the top of this post. Almost 90% of respondants think the "T" is a GREAT car.BTW I thought you had a Subaru STi Edited 20/01/04 09:16 AM by richdave
Guest Mercurysilver Guests Posted 20/01/04 01:16 PM Share Posted 20/01/04 01:16 PM Do Ford have some other models available? Oh.....I hadn't noticed. Until a couple of years ago I owned an SS, traded that for XH ute and then I saw the T. The missus let me have it and now I owe her big time!!!My Expensive Daewoo diehard mates hate the fact that it kills their v8's and the other guys you pull up next to at the lights sneak a little peak and then try to pretend that you aren't there. Sure I miss the note of the v8 but I'm not stupid, keep up or get left behing Expensive Daewoo suckers!!!!

No not rich at all. Far from it. The only chance I will have of being rich is if a lotto ball lands on me. As I stated these cars belong to my company. One hat that I wear at work is fleet manager. :o My company buys cheap & rotates the vehicles quickly. I'm sure I posted what I do on another thread and no it doesn't involve drugs. :o :o

Went into corporate office today and ran into some people I have not seen in a while and got comments such as " how does it feel driving a Piece of fruit ?""Your car is a sh*t box" ," couldn't pull the top off a RICE PUDDIN "Dunny door drivers are less complimentary. This car is getting a vewwwwy bad name.Personally .... touches wood I am happy ....for now.BCIHEO( Best car etc)But the issue is that there are more than numerous gripes( and most justified)and this is reaching the broader community.I would dearly love to see a sales trend over time to establish whether the beloved T is maintaining its status as a "cult car "or becoming a stay clear & high risk vehicle.FMC, I believe cannnot continue to enjoy the luxury of extended waits for this vehicle until there is a modicun of CONSISTENCy in build and performance.Anyone who has run a business KNOWS that current who gives a rats "go to market strategy" is setting its self up for ultimate failure. For you good people with some agro( me too at times )FORD, F*&*ing listen to these people..... Geoff and Co stop conning yourselves that once the car is sold that you have a client. a customer/ shopper / consumer is a very different beast. On behalf of the grievedFM.................C'mon LIFT LIFT LIFT strange very strange, I thought the car had a good rep! ive never had comments like that, quite the oposite especially form mechanics. I get comments like. Ford have finally done something right with this BA! The only thing wrong with the car is the service u recieve after buying one. ill probably try one more dealer befor I give up on them all if they treat me well and dont F*CK me around ill be happy to say my next car might be a 2005 mustang love that retro look! Guest AGXR6T Guests Posted 24/01/04 11:50 AM Share Posted 24/01/04 11:50 AM The T is awesome. There would only be two possible reasons I wouldn't potentially buy another one ; (1) an XR8 or (2) a GT. But don't have to think about that too hard right now because I'm loving every minute with the T.
