The XR6 Turbo IS terrific value for money.

The XR6 Turbo rides liek a dream.

The Turbs lookings stunning on both the inside and out.

The Stoopid thing costs me as much as a House!!!!

I LOVE my car and would say it was the best car I will ever own, except for one thing, the cost. Like I say, for what you get, great car. Awesome car. But its $53,000 car. My previous EL Fairmont Ghia cost me $15,000, and did everything superbly as well. If I could have the choise again, the SKU007 would not be in the driveway unfortunately. I would ba living in MY OWN house, not someone else's.

But these are the mistakes we make.

A bird at work has a really nice unit in Mornington, a good area around here, and her monthly mortgage repayments are as much as the lease on my car costs me. She paid for her unit what a cr**py house in a good area is worth around here.

And the old man just bought a Honda Accord Euro. For a 4cyl, front drive sh*tpoxer, its not bad. The Mazda 6 was not nice at all. Too dear, tinny sounding, gutless, lit up the inside tyre on every corner etc. Honda ok, but cars in that size, the Liberty is the money.

After being involved with nightclubs in Frankston for many years, I wouldn't be living to close to the main Frankston CBD. The mornington area is good in the better parts. There are too many young people in the area unemployed with too much time on their hands. Petty crime and doing drugs seems to be one of the more popular pasttimes.

I dont think I'd be comfortable parking my "T" in Frankston at night either.

Geea. :crybaby:

Frankston is the "Jewel of the South" as I like to call it. A sleepy little fishing village where everyone knows your name.

I've lived my entire life here and now I deal with the bottom 5% of society everyday when I work here. It'll improve. Right on the beach, all the sh*t can't afford to live here forever, they'll get pushed inland to Cranbourne when real estate price eventually reflect the location of the place.

So what was this thread originally about?

I have one of the first ones.

It has not been a happy experience.

Picked the car up tonight after it has been a week off the road having more things fixed. Soon as I got into it it didn't feel right. Yep sure enough it misses when I hit 4000 revs. Back I go again.

Thus far:

Software replaced

D/S window fixed

Clutch pedal bush installed

Wiring loom replaced

Brakes machined

Diff seals replaced-rear end removed to do this

Coolant dropped out and heater replaced-dash removed to do this

Fuel tank leak fixed

loose steering fixed

Now it has the miss detailed above.

The ford dealers have been generally good.

The product has the potential to be brilliant but the quality stinks.

I also have a Berlina and it has been back to the dealer once in thre years.
