Hey guys, I'm new here. I've had my T for about 6-7 weeks.

First time I've ever spent this much on a car. Always said I'd never spend more than 25k on a car. I've never really been excited by cars.

Until I drove a T.

Within about 4 weeks of driving one, I'd bought mine and I'm now totally in love. I looked around for as long as my desire to have one allowed me. :)

I love the power, but also the way it drives (seems to me) like a 'normal sedan' unless you put your foot down a little. The ride is great, handling seems very nice. I'm no expert though - most people here would have driven many more cars than myself.

I'm about to join the local sports/performance car club, take some advanced driving lessons and then hit the track. I'd love to modify her, just need to get the cash together first. :)

Love the car - any excuse to drive it must be taken. I've taken it back once so far, to have some minor things corrected - that you'd expect of any car that's 18 months old. I couldn't afford a new one. :)

I paid for an extended 3 year warranty, so if anything goes I'm covered with Ford parts.

ps sorry for the long post, just excited over an awesome car! The T has made me appreciate why people love cars so much!

I haven't been on the site for a while, but I couldn't resist a comment on this thread. I've had stage 2 APS fitted to the car for a couple of months and am going stage 3 in a couple of weeks. Where else can you get a 390KW car for a tad over $50,000 (plus extras). Best car I've ever owned? Hell yes.

My last one was a Honda S2000, great car, but lacked grunt. And guess what, I had lots of teething problems with it, including a nagging miss I never got to the bottom of in 60,000 k's.

Those that whinge about the T must be bloody hard to please! Do us all a favour and go buy a HSV! (Every one I know that has owned one (Gen 3) has had to have the engine replaced, power steering problems, etc).

All cars have their problems from time to time.

I went for a drive today and have to say that the T is the best car I have driven over these roads - The Oaks - Picton - Camden -The Oaks. These roads are a good test of handling and performance in the real world. There is a huge variety of road surfaces, pot-holes, humps and bumps etc.

From the Oaks to Picton I cruised behind several motor bikes. I ended up behind one for about 15km and he could not lose me until he overtook over double centre lines. The T was unbelievably composed and fast out of the corners. When I heard the Ducati in front wind on the throttle as we were coming out of the corners (it was LOUD) I just hit the power and the surge of speed was amazing. The bike rider was continually checking his mirrors to see where I was and I think he was a bit surprised to see we where still right behind.

The friend I took for the drive was also amazed at the power and handling from a car that is so smooth and quiet when driven normally around town. She thought she would be sore tomorrow from the continual bracing and 'clenching' and reckoned it was more fun than a roller coaster.

Fantistic!

I have recently purchased my T and have driven approx 2K in one month.

I originally didn't consider purchasing one as:

1. Didn't like the look :o (believe it or not)

2. Didn't like the colour choices

3. Thought it would cost too much

I had a :ta: bucket of :censored: AUII and it had nearly turned me off of Fords altogether and I was looking at repl;acing this when the lease expired with:

1. Honda Euro

2. Mazda 6

When the time came I revisited the T and test drove an auto and from there on 1. & 2. were no longer an option. The only options were what options and colour.

There were still no colours that immediatley jumped out at me as first option. SHMBO and daughter wanted the Blue one so I ordered it still unsure of whether I wanted it.

Options were obvious with Hump 1. Audio 2. and Wheels 3. Had I been in site here first, brakes prolly would have been added but so be it.

Opinion now is This is the best car I've ever owned, followed by the Original XR in the Photo.

Other than getting used to a manual again, after some 25 years with auto trans, it is als the best car I ever driven and for what you get fot the amount you pay, it is the best value by a lllllllong shot.

Now:

1. Spend obligatory minute or so looking at it smiling after getting out.

2. Best colour of choices available.

3. Would by another one tomorrow, the day after, the day after etc.

:inlove: :ta:
