Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has experienced a noise from the rear of there ute, it sounds like something is out of round, like a wooping sound, im thinking (hoping) that some weights have fallen off the rim, not sure if that would have this affect though, any info would be great before I start puling stuff apart, thinking it could be a bent drive shaft? not sure, utes only N/A didnt think it would have the balls to do that, I dunno.

Cheers, sam.

Low or high speed? All your wheel nuts on tight? (don't laugh, it does happen...)

Tyres in good condition?

Possible to be wheel bearings but without more information or hearing the noise it is very hard to diagnose online

Tyres as mine makes the same noise... Everything was checked and Ford put rims from a new car and noise went away.. Put my wheels back on with very worn tyres and noise came back.. It's getting louder as rear tyres are wearing out pretty quickly.. Factory Dunlops are no good once worn out.

hmm, well I have my stock wheels which I am in the process of fitting now, yeah my nuts are tight that was the first thing I checked when the noise appeared.. the tyres are at about 50% treade and look in great shape, I dont do any circle work or anything, weird it just started doing it one day. the noise isnt really loud enough to take a recording of, but I can feel it a bit through the car, its very noticable at 80, and when I slow to 60 with my foot slightly on the brake pedal it seems to get a bit worse before getting better, im thinking maybe warped discs? im not to sure, any more info you guys can give would be great, ill keep you updated with what I find with the stocko's, cheers guys

mine is making a similar noise with factory 19in dunlops with 6000km of wear.

the noise seems to be worse under brakes. esp just before coming to a complete stop. no vibrations through the wheel, just sounds like ive got mud tyres on hahaha. (well, not that bad)

My ute made a whole bunch of weird noises on wheel rotations and it turned out to be loose handbrake cable,

In saying that I replaces one of the rear wheel bearings 3 times.

Is your handbrake tight?

Hey guys, ended up being a bubble in my front left tyre, found it while changing my rotor's on the weekend, its weird how it felt like the rear, when it was actually the front, ended up having a win with the roto's anyway as they were shagged, thanks for the replies guys
