I voted for a Fairmont turbo, but thinking about it, what I would like is for most of the comforts of the Fairmont available on the XR. eg. Climate control, premium sound as standard etc. :smilielol:

If every model had the option, the "XR6 TURBO" would not be the special beastie that it is.

Simple as that!!!

I think that a limited edition Fairmont Sport with the turbo would be nice. Like a cross between the Luxury of the Fairmont and the sportiness of the beast. Not too bad at all!

Compare to VL Late model camira Turbo, pretty sure it was available in Calais and base model form.

The VL Late model camira had the turbo option available to the SL, Berlina and Calais.

Seeing a turbo up in the FPV realm will / would be nice...

I like the idea of a wagon...

I'd really like to see a AWD XR6T... like a big fat WRX ;)

I would love to see ford bring out an XRT wagon. with a full XR body kit and that level of performance it would be one sweet ride

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I would like to see a fairmonted XR though but. Climate control etc. and only one thing on the body differentiating that. a GT-P type mesh on the front grill.

but it would have to be called a XR though.

No way I am not paying $50000 and than have somebody in a xt have the same motor as me.

that's just like the xt with the xr lihts and bumper bar all that is doing is making our xr not as speacial.

I think the Turbo engine should be exclusive on the XR6 in the Falcon range. I would like to see a FPV Turbo Territory though.

I would like to see a Fairmont "Sport" option with the Turbo, lower suspension and (different) 18's. Maybe detune it to 220-230 KW but with an even fatter low/mid range torque. This could be accomplished by different pipes and a sligthly different tune on the ECU.

Maybe call it the GS like in the old XW/XY/XA days.

I find it strange that most people are going gaga over old colours like purple (Wild Violet XA anyone?) and old memories like the GT but turn around and say that another old notion like a poverty sport pack is a definate No-No.

People say that the 220 3 Valve should be the only other option but is a $5000 ask over the sticker price and then theres rego and fuel costs of a V8 over a six.

A Turbo Fairmont won't erode your resale as it's aimed at a different market, the same with a Turbo XT, without the XR suspension, tyres, brakes etc there is no chance of it keeping up with you over the track.

Think of all the sales we can steal from the SV8, Supercharged Calais etc.

Come on! Back it for Ford!
