No way I am not paying $50000 and than have somebody in a xt have the same motor as me.

that's just like the xt with the xr lihts and bumper bar all that is doing is making our xr not as speacial.

More to the point (at the risk of highjacking the thread) why did Ford do it???

Not that I am complaining at all, quite the opposite.

Was it because:

1. They needed a flag raiser prior to the XR8 and the FPV GT variants coming on stream early last year?

Or,

2. To trounce the supercharged 'S' Commodore?

I hope it was 1 and they discontinue the Turbo soon before series 2.

Only on Territory in 240KW form, and only if xr6T gets like 280KW, it must retain its exclusivety and cult car status.

A turbo fairmont would be nice.

Personally, I don't believe it should be offered in any other cars "ie: Fairmont or XT or Fairlane", because that would affect the resale of the XR6T, being not as unique as the XR6T is.

Why de-tune the turbo six to 220kw for XT's and Fairmonts? There's already a 220kW engine available for the XT's and Fairmonts, the V8.

A Territory turbo would be interesting, though, perhaps with an XR6 style bodykit as well, but I guess to retain XR6T resale values, it'd have to be slightly de-tuned...

I'm surprised there isn't an FPV vehicle with an enhanced turbo 6 in it, with the XR8 gearbox, and ~260-270kw, maybe with a bigger intercooler and tuned for PULP (more boost), that'd be cool
