Hi guys n girls,

I've just bought a bf f6 typhoon

When picked up car I noticed what sounded like a squeak in the boot

Upon further inspection I noticed the rear cradle where the diff bush sits was completely destroyed

Took the car back to mechanic who did rwc and he agreed to fix it free of charge

When I picked car up he told me car still needed a wheel alignment

During wheel alignment bloke told me something was wrong as he couldn't get rear toe aligned(20mm toe in each side)

Looked at new cradle and part number was for a fg not a bf

Is there a difference in the cradles or has he just not aligned it properly??

Cheers in advance Craig

I'm not 100% sure about the rest of the cradle, but I know the lower control arms changed on FG... Could be the issue

Try measuring the length of the original arms vs the ones that came with the cradle

Thanks mate

Already sussed it,to use a fg cradle you also have to use the fg lower control arms

Have organized the arms that were with the cradle

Getting installed as we speak

Can't wait for it to finally be set up properly

are we talking lower control arm that the spring sits on? if so my BA xr6t sedan has a FG arm on the left and a BA on on right, I needed a new one as it was slightly bent.

it works fine and was same lenght etc just a tinny bit differnt at where the spring sits...seemed a little stronger.

deflinally a fg arm as I got it from ebay still in box it came from ford lol

wheel alighnment was fine aswell....

Not sure mate, it's proved to be an issue in the past - perhaps the mounting points on the two cradles are slightly different. I've had customers measure up and found the control arm was the difference though.
