someone wants $600 to supply and fit new booster.

Don't know what else it includes.

If Ralph reckons dont pay more than $300, assuming the shop gets one for that or less, wheres $300 labour going, do you have to flush fluid following a new booster install? Is this a simple unbolt and bolt new one in task that somebody who is able to do spark plugs is able to do?

It hell ruined it for the cruise the other night, brakes just felt f*cked all night I could tell it was sticking on and I was deliberately going very easy on them.

master cylinder and booster not same/same. $600 to supply and install the booster is a good price.

Yeah that's fair enough, I just wasn't sure about that shop was all.

For that, would you imagine that it would be a brand new original Ford one? As like no way would I want second hand. Of course I will ask the shop but just wondering if brand new original ones are like $300 as I just read above something like $1000+?

Could a faulty booster be causing my issue when I plant the foot, traction control stops my fun but then if I hold foot down it turns off and the light comes up until I stop and start motor. It's quite funny, it's like the cars telling me COME ON YOU PUSSY DO A SKID. nek minnut I'm at the tyre shop.

mate I've just done my master cylinder now

if the car has DSC and TRACTION CONTROL - you'll need to purchase the B227-114 that's the master cylinder and if the car just has ABS you'll need to purchase the B227-109

Old thread now but hopefully someone can help. I replaced my master on my typhoon (4 pot fronts) with the b227-109. This is the same part number as what came off but also the same part number for my na xr6 with 2 pot fronts... Is this right? I would have thought the master would be different considering the brakes are different?

Anyone know the BA booster differences? There are 2 boosters with the Hook style pushrod , I.D sticker marked as B259-058 and B259-041 . Then there is the type with the full eye where it fits the pedal.

Any breakdown of which goes where and are they interchangeable ?

The booster I ended up buying was off an xr8. I never used it, so It's for sale if anyone wants it.

The issue (which I still have) is my front left caliper is sticky. I just pump the brake at lights and it unsticks. ( never sticks hard, just enough for me to notice something wasn't right. )
