I had my handbrake adjusted about 3500km ago and now it is bad again, just about need a sunroof so I can pull in on all the way. And then there's the scraping noise. You can only here it at certain times/locations (even though it does it all the time) like underground carparks or other closed places where there is an echo. Is there a "proper" fix for this does anyone know?

I remember reading here somewhere from FORDTECH that there was 2 ways for adjusting the handbrake: the way most mechanics do it, and the proper way.

He said that after reading the documented way of adjusting it, he hasnt had a problem with a handbrake. It takes a bit longer to do, but he said it fixed it.

Cant for the life of me remember which thread it was though. Hopefully FORDTECH reads this and enlightens us.
