I've got the 15psi job. No noises at all. Mine sits at 14.5psi when not active. This does look kinda weird. I think a pin or something to stop it moving below zero would do the trick nicely unless the scale had vacume on it like the 10psi jobs.

The 10 psi also looks a bit weird on trailing throttle when driving as it go's past -10 to what would be about -14 or because it has gone past the 'blank' logo area, actually looks like its on boost and has gone past +10 psi to +11 ...if you know what I mean, here is a pic of the gauge with the 'engine off' so you can figure what I am on about.

Finally got mine and installed it. Thanks YCL, especially for writing Cheesey Poof PTY LTD on the parcel, I think the guy at the post office is wondering what kind of business I'm running - and by the look of him, wants to join. Thanks Trumpy for being the technical support. CVANXR and I couldn't get the hose through but with Trumpy the Mentor on MSN, we finally got it. Its all up and running now, looks great.

The lady at my post office was wondering what I was giggling at.....

I guess you'd get a very warped view of society, working at Oz Post, glad you are happy though..

HUSTLER sorry to hear your dramas, just give Luke a call I'm sure he will be very helpful.

Grrrr, mines officially FUBAR!!!! ill give them a ring when I get some time, in the mean time, anybody know any quick fixes for a real bad sticky spot??

Also whats the colour match like on yours?? mines noticably lighter, but tolerable, might get htem to repray it a touch darker if I have to send it back. Now I just gotta work out how I am goin to block the hose when I send it back!?

I got mine back today from being repaired :) Happy chappy again ... The new colour match is great in my terms!

10 points for the after sale service and repair job :)

Also I had my ford dealer take it out and block it for me so I am not sure what he used but can ask him at lunchtime today ...

My leaking back window was fixed yesterday ... and last night it rained and it leaks just as bad !! How hard is it to stop a fixed panel of glass from leaking ? ANywayyyy ....

Cheers,

B

Hustler,

I just had my new guage fitted and the all the ford guy did was use a small bolt and square nut to "crimp" the hose. I didn;t have a problem whilst it was out and he just cut off the crimped bit of hose when he refitted it and it works fine! hope that helps ...

I have the 15 now and it certainly moves around alot more! Sits at about +11 in vaccumm though when cdm notes his at +14.5

Is good to compare on here and see what others think :)

Can't even read - make that +9.5 in vaccuum (not +11 as above)

Anyone else got theirs in yet ? Surely there are more of the 2nd lot installled...

Installed mine a couple of Days ago (10psi auto)

Installation was easy less than 3/4 hour from start to finnish.

Instructions clear and consice.

However a little trick was to add some more curve to the end of the pressure tube and it slid down thru the dash on the first try. Also when the tube had made it down I needed to slightly redirect it so it was not behind the Traction control switch loom.

The color match is good, but there is a couple of stightly anoying impefections in the paintjob at are only visible from outside the car. It looks "factory", as I wan'ted it to.

On idle the point sits at 5:30 o'clock position. Stick the boot in and it whips around to about 6psi boost. Moderate accelleration to about 2psi and the peakhour crawl it stays in the vacum area.

The gauge works as expected with no extra noise. However a stop at about the 7 o'clock position would be good.

The bigest problem with this gauge when you first fit it is that you spend too much time looking at it, than looking at the road. Epecially when you are looking for max boost reading in seconds you are well into the flashing blue light territory.

Also many thanks to "YCL" for arranging the bulk buy and dispatch.
