We're still waiting to hear from the people with the 5 gauges that were sent out in the new, darker colour. If their colour match is spot-on, as expected, it's all go from there.

Might then be a few more lined up to order, I suspect.

I got my guage yesterday.

Is stinks to high heaven of new paint - so I think it must be one with the new colour.

So I guess you want to know does the colour match....... I dont know , I wont see my car again until Friday :( :( (its getting a small scratch repainted)

I also got my guage yesterday.

I think it's the new colour - you can smell the paint.

The paint match is pretty close, but if anything, it is slightly lighter than the original trim. Not much. It varies depending on shadows etc, in the direct sunlight you can just notice it.

(My cars a May 03 build)

I'll post some pictures later.

I had a chat with Luke from GaugeWorks this afternoon about the hissing sound that I reported earlier, and it seems that it is my second theory ie. introducing a new channel for noise into the car. The actual connections are foolproof, so there wont be any leakage of the vacuum / boost line.

Basically the noise from the manifold is travelling along the vacuum hose, and into the pressure line to the gauge. This could probably be avoided by insulating the pressure hose, but it doesnt worry me too much, I just wanted to make sure that I hadnt stuffed up or had a leak.

I have just found this thread, and am interested in a boost gauge.

Does the Ghia rim match the XR T dash ??

How much is the Ghia trim piece, assuming its extra to the gauge cost??

Is the $319 deal for the gauge still available ??

Thanks guys.

Just have a read through and all you questions will be answered.

The colour is very close, but not perfect.

Price includes trim piece.

Gauge works very well, even lights up same colour at night.

I think there is 1 spot left on the current group buy.
