With the 10psi gauge I prefer not to have a stop at 0, so I can have a vacuuum/boost gauge combined. Maybe the 15psi would be better with a stop.

I know Luke was unsure whether to add one or not and he was fairly firmly of the opinion that the stop would detract from the appearance of the gauge. He said that he might have to add one if some of the minor glitches continued. I guess the overall thing is an evolving work in progress and what he is selling in 6 months time might be different to what is sold now. Maybe the 10 psi would be better as is and the 15psi would be better with a stop.

Cheers

On another tack, call me obsessive, but I am so pleased with my gauge that I think it's worth putting the effort in to getting the colour match of the surround right so it will all be spot on. At present, it's still a bit light and whether or not it should bother me, it does!

I had a look at Vik's console on Sunday and I'm pretty sure it's lighter than mine. Vik and Mrs z also thought so. This explains why Luke is having so much difficulty with colours as there is some variation from factory. Also, the clock surround only comes in warm charcoal or dark stone and in is not finished from factory in the XR colour (graphite).

So, if I can get hold of another raw clock surround without the clock and I've got the original triangular piece that came out of the dash, I should be able to go to a paint shop and ask them to make the clock surround the same colour as the original bit? I hope.

If anyone has any tips for getting this done without tears or knows of a paint shop or whatever in Adelaide that would do it properly, please let me know. Any advice or assistance appreciated.

Cheers

Got mine working today and I have a few questions. When the engine is off the needle sits at 0. When the engine is idleing the needle sits at about 7 o'clock, way past the 10 in the vacum area. Under hard acceleration the needle wizzs around to about 7 or 8 PSI, but I thought the car had a max boost of 6PSI in standard form. Can anyone shed any light on this for me.

Sorry guys have not fitted mine yet! :oooh: but there is a valid reason, Dropped in to see Luke from Guageworks on my way through Geelong the other week and ended up leaving my 15psi with him to swap over for a 10psi, which he was making at the time. Hopefully should receive it by the end of this week.

Worpor, luke is currently making another batch of these guages so I would suggest if you can organise another group buy then he will be ready to go

Guys in relation to the colour, know that I have seen the workshop etc, these are all hand made, so I think the end result and overall product is bloody good to say the least. It seems from the panels he recieves from Ford is that they are also different colours! (Good old Ford Build quality)

Anyway will post some pics when I have finally installed it! May end up needing some help, so be on standby!

Thanks again YCL
