Yep love it. :spit:

I certianly prefer it to the other chiptorqe dual one.

I think this one look very classy, looks like original fittment. The other looks like its from a rally car and does not suit the rest of the interior. But you can put whatever gauges you want in it I guess.... others seem to love that so to each thier own.

I guess that's what makes the world an interesting place....for examlpe I hear some people actually chose to have their car that horrid undercoat HaaG colour, without the usualy discount.

It's good to hear everyones happy with the gauges! Have any of those from the original order had their trim piece replaced yet due to colour mismatch? I have been waiting for a call from Gaugeworks but I think I will have to ring them... :)

Yes, mine's been replaced. The colour is a lot better but still not quite spot-on. However, it's perfectly acceptable.

Also , I use 303 uv protector on the interior, including the console and I can't rule out the possibility that this has subtly darkened the original console finish over time.

Anyway, this is just nit-picking. I don't think anyone would notice if it wasn't pointed out to them. When it comes down to it, I'm probably a bit fussy, but not that bloody obsessional.

The new gauge works fine and looks good. Have seen some alternatives on this site, but I really prefer stuff that looks factory to stuff that looks after-market.

I've often sold several cars where people would say things like "we've looked at a few of these but this one just seems to stand out as the best" (some people's bargaining skills are abyssmal). Always seem to sell to the first genuine buyer for a well above average price.

Condition and presentation plays a part in this, but also subtle extras that come off different models of the same car and therefore look like they're meant to be there. Eg in the T - chrome strips in bumper slots, chrome thingy over rear number plate, footwell lights, boot-lid liner, boost gauge etc. Picking the right colour also helps!

I just don't think the more in-your-face pods have the right look. Might have thought differently when I was 30 years younger!

Anyway, enough off topic rambling!

Cheers

I returned mine and it has been fixed and had a new trim piece fitted ... getting it back early next week apparently. I would suggest calling Luke! They have been very friendly in getting my problem sorted :) Still love the subtle factory look of this guage although the fooly sik chiptorque pod is r...um .. nice! Very swoit and in ya face :)

:nyaah:

Can't go wrong with grey, grey paint, grey dash, grey boost gauge, grey wheels, grey scunge on the exhaust tip, grey dead bug's on the front of the car. :kissmy:

yes I know....but I am HaaG intolerant.

Just went for a 30 min drive to the shops 5 mins away just to watch my new boost gauge, probably shaved 2 tenths off the 1/4 mile times.......full sik moit. :kissmy:

Yes YCL, perhaps you're right. Next time I'll have to be more daring, adventurous and "out there" and pick a really exciting colour, like...............White???!!!

Hey ease up on YCL here. White is very multi purpose especially here in the ACT. When he's not cruising, all he has to do is put some chequered stickers down the side and a dome light on top....VOILA!! Instant taxi!

as opposed to other major cities where only the top of the taxi can be silver......as too much silver would scare away any potential customers.... :smilielol:

MS700 knew I could lay the boot into your Haag brethren whilst you were waiting for you gauge.....just didn’t expect the worm to turn so quickly. ;)
