coming off the rear rollers has to affect power as the rear roller inertia is built into the calibration - it is between 8 - 14 % ramp rate and roller weight and size vary this figure

Depending what model mainline and this has zero effect

A D/D and yes will skew the reading

Dion has dine this ( left slack in the straps ) for the car to use a large amount of its torque based spin to mount the front roller and then the strap will pull tight to maintain that 2oclock position

This is where a combination of speed rate and spin are traded off in the relaxed straps

This is only what I know FIRST hand and I really dont think dion was trying to produce a number from typical front roller action

I seriously think it was the cars best set up style

the reference was with other cars who have their cars tuned with tuners who do not have the same dyno. Everyone knows 'other dynos' read high/low. The reference was that this is a low (normal?) reading dyno.

No its just a different dyno that is in the class of " harsh " but in reality mainlines are the "true" dyno and very repeatable where as other brand of dyno's are "all over the place"

You can only use a tool in its correct manner and by using two different tools u will get two very similar but different results

Its just the way it is

Dyno results are the age old debate topic but until u understand all the factors its just guessing

Heres a great one we had ages ago

A dyno day at a very average tune shop in sa was held and a turbo ran up around 250rwkw and the owner was a little pissed due to it having 270rwkw

Just so happened that the tuner of this car was there on the day and asked if he could ramp it up while still strapped and no more than 2min had passed and bingo 270 near spot on

Do u think the guy that held the dyno day was confused ??? Hell yes he was !!!!
