What sort of center bearing do you have on the shaft? Is it a F250 style?

Centre bearing is apparently a similar style to the standard one.

Bit of an update took my car to Gibson drive shafts to see if Chris could diagnose the vibration issue and the only thing he could come up with is because I'm still running the standard diff bushes (still in good condition) there is too much movement in the diff whilst under load which changes the angle of the diff and causes the vibration.

So the car is booked into city suspension to get competition bushes installed on Tuesday.

Hey benny

Yeah I will let you know . Only thing that worries me is noise transfer with the competition bushes , I'm still running the standard cat back exhaust so if it makes the car louder I will definitely notice it.

Competition bushes do increase noise.

Even with a bigger exhaust....

If I was doing it again, I would go with the comforts

Thanks sixman , the more I think about it the comfort ones might be a better option as my car is not really any louder than standard.

Only reason I was going with the competition ones is to limit the amount the diff moves under load

Yeah, you have a different problem your trying to solve.

My stock bush was cracked and causing problems.

I was uneducated and went with the workshops recommendation.

Having said that - the car is much more planted with the solid bushes.

Make sure you do the 2 side bushes and the control arm bushes at the same time.

If you were ever planning on upgrading your rear shocks/springs, now is the time.

I appreciate the info sixman . The car only has 19,500km on it and they are mostly from freeway driving so I was thinking if I just replace the three diff bushes that would be enough. Do you still think it would be of benefit if I get the control arm bushes installed considering the low km?

Another guy on here has the same tailshaft as me and is using the comfort bushes , and he said his car is running perfect with no vibrations . So I think I will go with the comfort bushes instead of the competition ones.

I have not read about anyone getting tailshaft vibrations from bad bushes with standard tailshafts, so why would bad bushes be the problem with a modified tailshaft?

Bushes do not sound relevant to me, unless I have just missed that it does also happen on stock tailshafts with bad bushes.

From what I've been told the new tailshaft is more sensitive to angle change that's why I only notice the vibration while accelerating . With the standard tailshaft and bushes my car drives fine .
