Ford warrant these things and you can rev them to that limiter. Regular servicing, good oil, warm them up and pull high revs under load. Were is the issue. Were is the issue.Yes they are fine to rev TO the limiter, but its the violent action of it bouncing off that damages parts. You can get a soft cut which will help with minimising damage. They aren't really there to bounce off, more so to stop you revving past its safe limit. Plus, its a big engine, use its midrange torque. They aren't s15s. I think plenty of guys here regulaerly see the limiter but Im fine shifting before 5500, I was just updating to take the pisss out of my own thread Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
