A forum member tried and I do mean tried this. God knows what he spent n I think he never cracked an 11 second quarter (someone correct me if I'm wrong). With an fg turbo and about $3-$4k you'll run easy 11's

Had mild mods and a tune when my ute was NA, made 185rwkw. Spent $30k on turboing and now have 410rwkw. Don't make the same mistake I did.Sell and by a turbo car when your off your P's

As Henz mentioned, do extractors back, cai, underdrive kit and some 4.11'a and a tune, if you're in the city put some e85 into her n you'll see 200rwkw which is pretty decent. But after spending $5-$6k there you could just spend $10k more on what you got now and have a stock fg xr6t with 230rwkw, plus bigger brakes, better suspension and all round newer car

Save your hard earned $$$ for a T when you get off your P'sexactly this ^^^^^my brother spent way more turning his car into a turbo rather than just buying 1 to start with.. Like trento said it is def. not just a few grand. Ive lost count of how many times he said "I wish I just bought a f*ckin turbo car in the 1st place"+ the headaches of getting it all in the car and making it all work properly...Personally I would just start saving for things like the big nizpro intercooler kit, SMB turbo exhaust, xcal 3, surge tank setup, injectors, valve springs, etc, oh and of course the car. With mods like these you'll piss in your 450hp.You would be best buying a model that is post 06/06 too so you get the stronger motor.By the time you can buy it they probly will have come down more in price too.Honestly everyone is saying the same thing for a reason bud... though it is your money so do what you want Edited 09/04/13 02:30 PM by Kroozin
