hey I have a question, I own a ba xr6 turbo, my turbo's bushes and bearings and screwed so I bought a new turbo, just wondering where the oil feed line is in the block, does the line get oil pressure as it's cranking or does it hold pressure in the line? I blew my motor a few months back and there was a cylinder like dome on the oil feed/switch line, but I thought that was for an after market oil pressure gague, can anyone confirm this for me ? thanks

Basically smack bang in the middle of the passenger side of the engine. Just follow the line from the turbo n you'll see it. I'm pretty sure only runs oil with motor running because when I changed my feed line it didn't piss out oil everywhere

Pressurised only when engine running and heaps of threads on this - but you should remove the screw in filter from the side of the block and make sure it is clean with no debris or sh*t on the little screen end. Good oil and proper service times help to keep them clean.

They can be cleaned with solvents etc but the filter screen is delicate. Some people remove the screen completely ( I did not.) From there you can either upgrade to an Earls etc or just replace the factory one - they are 80 bux or so with or just clean it. A long socket gets them out. There are good photos on "how to" in the forum on this. If you are not sure, it is a 10 min job on a hoist for a good workshop. Cleaning the oil line is harder but can be done with solvents and fiddling around.

Its a pinned thread in the turbo section. So being pinned its always at the top area of the list.
