That looks like a pretty cheap and nasty thing the bolts being threaded the whole way weaken the bolt.

A piece of plate some new high tensile bolts afew holes bolts welded at head no problems it looks like you could go bigger bolts if you redrill everything may be worth while if you do motorsport also lock nuts those supplied nuts don't look much chop even with the spring washer

A pic of the END of the broken bolt would be better. If it has "beach" marks of a gradual failure, or no beach marks of a sudden failure, will tell the story.

The bolt plate may be more convenient, but there is a tendency in the industry to use "adequate" bolts in these positions....and then say installation is "easy". I would use at least a grade 8 bolt.

Suspension and brake breakages/failures should be viewed with scorn as they are a direct car control issue.

Just check to see if that plate will fit flush against the strut tower - there are some bends and seam lines on the inside where that is going to sit.

If it is not flush there is a good chance the bolts will elongate the holes in the tower...

Yeh we fitted in some spacers, roughly 3-4mm from memory. cheers bud.

Might explain why the others f'd up too
