fehlbie Donating Members 142 Member For: 15y 7m 22d Posted 09/04/13 08:42 AM Share Posted 09/04/13 08:42 AM The centre bearing on the FG is a pressed fit and you have to replace the uni and the centre bearing at the same time. This is what I was told by ford, the centre bearing and uni are $600 ish from memory, just fro the part. Hence I went with an upgraded tails haft with a replaceable centre bearing from a F150. Being a double row ball bearing it would have a very light interference fit, should go off/on with only a little bit of heat. Rootster, keep the old bearing, cut it in half and send me pics, I'll tell you if you should have balanced your tailshaft

Falky100 Donating Members 305 Member For: 13y 12d Gender: Male Posted 08/07/13 12:58 PM Share Posted 08/07/13 12:58 PM SHP, needing some help. Obviously by the pics I need a new bearing too. My car is a BF. and im unsure as to weather I need a 30 or 35mm bearing and whether it is a press fit etc. Just wondering whether you can give any info on this for me. Also I think mines a uni joint. In the pics you can see a sir-clip where when removed the pin will just "fall out".
