Can anyone give me a definite answer as to what the factory governor is set at on a MK2 G6E Turbo? I have looked everywhere and have gotten answers ranging from 180, 200 and 230kmh... I have also heard they are set lower than XR6T's? I am competing in a 1000m sprint later this year and don't want to pay to have it removed if I don't need to. Oh yeah, I need my license for work so can't find out for myself!

Thanks for the feedback, if it is 230 I should be pretty safe... Anyone know what time and speed a stock G6ET/XR6T will do a 1000m sprint approximately? The main reason I am entering is a grudge match against a close mate's modified Bogan special and I don't want to lose due to a speed governor!

Is that the temora 1000? I was going to enter but I'll be overseas for work again. Pretty sure a tune removes any form of "programmed" governor, but then you are limited by your diff gearing
