Hey guys,

I'm currently only weeks away from getting an FG F6 but every one I really like doesn't have argents... There's a white F6 that is almost fully optioned - Great price and an awesome car but it has the twisty's on it. White without the argents does not interest me at all.

My question is - Where do I get genuine argents? I'm pretty wary buying things off ebay - especially such a large purchase as this, so that's out of the question. (Plus I don't want copies) I assume Ford would sell them outright and I know know wheel king used to have them ($980 a rim mind you...)

Is my best bet just to look for a 2nd hand genuine set? Anyone selling a set?

The only other thing I can think of is a nice black/charcoal set - Anyone got any suggestions as to what they think will match the white really well? Would like 19/20's that must clear brembo's and I'll lower the car a bit.

Thanks guys,

Dan

Cheers Pazzo,

I just like the way they 'tie' the car together. Without them, I just don't feel the accents have anything else to mesh with on the car - Just my opinion though...

You mean paint the twisty's like this right?cp4891588464058545200.jpg?height=700&asp

I dunno how much I like that though - Kinda hard to visualise on a white... Thoughts?

Cheers Bellato - I'll do a bit of digging around on FB and explore the a/market option then.

Mummba - Would they come with tyres? What sort of price would you think? Would you be interested in a trade + cash with the twistys? PM me if you'd like.

Cheers guys,

Dan

Always loved the twisty's on the B series, but the FG seems so much bigger and demands a more substantial rim IMO. Even the MKII rims I feel are a little thin.

I just want a classy rim that suits the cars styling without looking cheap or making me look like a bogan hahaha!

Cheers,

Dan

I've heard some pretty bad stories of the copies being pretty cheap and nasty...

I'd be ok with copies if I didn't hear horror stories of them flaking, buckling and having the structural integrity of plasticine... Is there any merit in what I've heard?

I'll look into the pinstripe actually - Good idea mate :spoton:

Cheers,

Dan
