Guest Scootre Guests Posted 11/01/04 10:09 AM Share Posted 11/01/04 10:09 AM Small enough to fit an audio/video component. It makes sense that it'd be for the sat nav system. I have premium sound in mine so perhaps ford only fit the boot lining with the compartment in it when you have premium sound??Here's pics:http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/photogallery/m...p?threadid=8461and here:http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/photogallery/m...p?threadid=8461I guess I'd use it for a first-aid kit or something. Problem is, when closed, you don't even see the thing there, so it'd be easy to forget and lose whatever is in there.

I spent five minutes in there with a torch and it just ain't there.Perhaps those with standard sound do not get the compartment ? I have standard sound, but I haven't searched for the compartment in the boot (yet). I looked then for a bit and couldn't find it. Ours has standard sound. It's not very obvious. The photos that Scootre has posted are after it's been opened. When it's shut, the little handle sticking out is the only sign that it's there.I don't think it would be much good for storing things, because there appears to be nothing from stopping stuff falling down the side (behind the carpet). Too small to fit the first aid kit unfortunately (I actually have the Ford one, got it from the in-laws for Xmas, along with the dash mat).
