so I have an 04 xr6t 4sp auto and I heard that some box's don't like the higher rwkw range and decided they don't want a bar of it so was wondering if there are kits ect that I can buy or do I need to get it engineered?. I'm a little unsure about these cars when it comes to this so any advice would be great :)

Never use the + & - it wears out the gears.

How's that :idunno: I thought keeping it in manual mode actually helps the auto live longer - provided you change gears sensibly in manual mode.

By the way - I drive around town in D as I don't need the control over revs and its smoother. But in twisties - I find it easier to use manual mode to keep the revs where I want them

I think he's taking the piss from another thread gaz cause you are correct. Short shifting saves the box. Even better if you shift with no load.
