hey guys jus wondering if some people could giv mi some answers or ideas on wat needs to be changed to run a gt3788 please thank you,im making 400rwkw now but the power bug has bitten and I want more lol

I'm gathering you can get this turbo cheap.....

The stock turbine is a 68mm whereas a 3788 has a 72.5mm iirc. Meaning you cant use the stock 1.06 A/R T3 exhaust turbine housing. You would need an aftermarket manifold, dump pipe, oil/water lines, intake etc etc. if you were to go to this much trouble there are more suitable turbo's available.

If this hasn't put you off then the fact that a GTX3582r that will fit the stock turbine housing and manifold actually flows MORE than a GT3788r. Stick with the latest technology available when it comes to turbocharging :)

all bs aside you could run a hta3794r in a stock 1.06 housing. the rear housing just has to be profiled to suit the slightly larger turbine wheel, cost round 300 to 400 dollars. doesnt have rediculous lag, full boost by round 3300 to 3500 (20psi)

but if I was you the gtx is hard beat for price and results

True, and thing to note with the above is that HTA's use a billet compressor and a reliable Garrett core and exhaust turbine. Big flow for a compact T3 footprint.....

If the turbo has a number of KM's on it change to a GTX3582r or HTA3586r if you want a bit more again.
