Also I see there is a 6 blade billet wheel upgrade for the GT3576r that is supposed to give 15% more flow. I am keen to know if the wheel upgrade will allow for about 350rwkw from oem turbo over having to go a GTX3576r?

Who is doing the billet upgrade? I have been quoted $1600 for upgrading the stock turbo to a larger f6 compressor with port/flapper/actuator mods. And that is proably becase most would not bother with the 3576 and got straight to a 3582.I think that if it does offer the 15% increase as stated, it should boost the maximum power of the OEM GT3576 from about 320rwkw to about 360rwkw (with the right supporting mods). Its another option and probably a cheaper and easier exercise vs buying a new GTX3676 and having to reuse existing exhaust housing and actuator brackets etc.

Would be better at 380rwkw - it spooled hard

Will it be safe? Then we have to factor in the installation costs for the wheel.A new turbo may be the better option. Unless one of the established turbo houses can bring the stock turbo up to gtx spec. There must be a reason even f6 owners upgrade to the gtx version of their turbo.old mate those are impressive numbers and great feedback. sad to hear the car was written off, hope no one was hurt. That's the numbers iam after, plus hard spool.... There are not many cars that have the instant hit of a turbo 6. I

Would an F6 benefit from an upgrade to a GTX3576?I spoke to an FG XR6T owner yesterday. He was a pit disappointed that his turbo bearings had to be replaced at 75000 kms. What's the life expectancy on these things?PAH
