just a question, whats the benifit of installing a FG xr6t turbocharger on a BA xr6t? reason I ask is im almost certain my BA xr6t has a FG turbo..........also does it need tuning with it on? been like it for about 4 years I think and aparantly teh previous owner had ford do it so it got tuned to suit (so he says)

99% sure he's lied to you. Ford can't tune.

Benifit would be quicker spool. But with Bas long gearing would fall over real early.

Does the Standard FG xr6t have the same front housing (compressor) as the FG F6 turbo?

I was told the previous owner of my ute was into his cars and that he did some work to it. Trying to workout if he changed the turbo or not. Only tell tale sign is that it spools a lot louder than a standard FG xr6t.

If he "did some work" it would have come dyno sheets as a minimum. Or it would be running like chit.
