G'day Guys,

Have been around the forum for a few years, been on a couple of cruises and the events. Figured it was about time that I put some pics and stories up about my cars, found some photos over the years and it high lights a few stages that the ute has been through.

Photo the day of Pick up - Lane Ford Mandurah
May 2008 BF 2 F6 complete bog stock with standard FPV package.

Over the next few months slowly acquired parts for the car, from various members here and at Fordxr6.com.au. After getting a set of lowered springs and Koni suspension along with 30mm whiteline sway bar, this is how it sat.

It was nice to have some handling and feel for the road, by this stage is had gotten my Rapids/Plazmaman intake kit from AKF6. I had also purchased a SMB 4 inch stainless exhaust system, 044 in tank fuel pump, Deka 60lb injectors
Car went off to Monsta Torque to have a little bit more love, this round the middle of 2009. After this it was sitting at bout 350RWKW, unfortunately I cannot find the dyno sheet.

For a period of time the ute was parked up in the folks shed, I was busy working away, travelling the world and generally spending money elsewhere. Around 2010 Dean (turbo 2.6L) was parting out his ute, a number of parts came up and if I had more of a budget would have taken more.
I ended up taking the cosmetic parts from him, I was always annoyed that I didn't get Dark argents and a hard cover. Lucky for me Dean was willing to part with his for the right price and the hard cover was the right colour as the ute.

Over the years a few little things were added, full sound system was installed. This included aftermarket Pioneer Head Unit with Ipod etc connect, 12 inch Pioneer sub, Single channel Pioneer amp and additional 4 channel amp, plus Pioneer diamond series splits and rear 6 inch speakers. At this time I also had the 6 Speed removed to have it strengthened, all I can say is what a difference this made. No more slipping gears, and was a great being to spin up the tyres like I was in a manual.

Apologise for the small photo

Again went through a period where the ute was parked up, I relocated to Beijing China and the ute went into storage again. During this time nothing got done and was having serious thoughts bout selling the ute.
I did purchase a factory xr8 bonnet, I was appalled at the crack pipe prices wanted for a pant job so I opted for the Tokyo Drift spec carbon wrap on the bonnet

After 12 months in China it was time home, the ute was still there and I had a itchy spend finger. But first I needed to fix the floating front end and get some more control on the back end

etHjvcn.jpg

Front end was fitted with super pro bushes and had a rear 20mm whiteline sway bar fitted, suspension was taken to WA Suspensions for a over haul and some love.

It was then time to spend some time on the engine bay, new turbo was sourced Garret with .07 front cover and 66mm wheel with 1.06 rear cover (thanks Luke/Ralphy) bigger intake kit from Proccess West, I.D 1000 Injectors and a external surge tank and dual fuel pumps for E85 setup

Off again to Monsta Torque, once the tune was complete final numbers were

Needless to say it was a handful on the street, but when that turbo spooled up what a hoot. It certainly was a bit of a dark horse, didn't get any attention from the police and over surprised looks from people that watched me go past in a cloud of smoke and noise.

I found that I was having a lot of difficulty getting all that power to the ground, so new boots were required. After a near 3 month wait (FAQ U Ozzy Tyres) they arrived, this was the last mod that I carried out on the ute and the finish of it after 6 years

Over the years it had been a great car, was a lot of fun but frustrating at the same time. Big thanks to Luke for all his help over the years and to the guys that I bothered for parts or asked stupid questions.
I decided to make the big decision and sell the ute this year, after much thought bout what I could possibly upgrade to I finally settled on this

2010 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG

Complete stock, but what a car. This is a car that I had on my list of dreams, the price was right and my work and personal situation allowed for the transaction. Took delivery of the beats on the 20th of March, so it has been a great start to the year.

No plans to mode, still has factory warranty and if I am going to do anything it will require a heap of thought and deep pockets.

Hope you enjoyed the read, apologies if you got bored plus to the WA boys that have a feeling of deja vu reading this again.
