Ba Xr6T Auto Down On Torque/power Sluggish

Hi all

I have a ba xr6t auto that I have had an issue with for a while. It always runs rough on cold start , smooth idle on start but as soon as I hit the throttle it stalls. Iam now on my 3rd throttle body (now have a brand new one) after warmed up at idle for a minute it drives ok. After it warns up on a hot day in peak hour traffic it develops a sh*tty idle. Already regapped plugs to.8mm and new coil

The most annoying thing I have noticed is when doing a reset of ecu the car drives really well with heaps of torque until after about 200 kms it starts to get really sluggish on acceleration and less responsive

I have spent $2000 in workshops trying to diagnose and all they dyno tune it and after 200 kms it's sluggish again

I have already tried:

New coil packs and plugs

New Throttle body and tps

New o2 sensor

New pcv valve

New crank angle and cam sensors

Complete replacement used Exhaust

Intake manifold gasket

Re torque turbo and exhaust manifold bolts

Lube boost solenoid

Current mods:

Heinrich tuned to 260rwkw

Monza cooler

Walbro pump

Typhoon intake

Is it maybe due to adaptive learning for the auto trans? Or other issues with the torque converter or clutch packs no engaging properly?

Timing being pulled ?

Hi there, I had a siimilar problem in the last fortnight, and I found that one of my engine mounts had snapped! also the rough idle was in the tune. Spiro at Autotech Engineering spent a bit of time diagnosing it and found that one of my spark plugs had a bigger gap then the rest and that it also needed a tune. Car is awesome now and responsive! it also made more power...

Hey Terrys,

It sounds like you and I both have the exact same car (except mine is stock)... My car is doing the exact same things and considering I'm selling it, I need to have it fixed asap.

I'm planning on leaving it with Simon at XFT for a day or two just so he can go over it with a fine tooth comb. Only thing we haven't tried is maybe an engine compression test?

Hey Terrys,

I was driving the car today and when I put it into park after a normal drive (not ever spirited) the car was shuddering and the revs were fluctuating all over the place.

Maybe failing valve springs?

I took the car in for a trade in appraisal the other day and I can tell they f*cking thrashed the crap out of it because it was the temp was over half and she was an utter nightmare to drive for the rest of the day - B*stards.

So who knows... Could be a real candidate for what's causing the issues I'd say...?
