Oosh Member 4 Member For: 11y 11m 9d Posted 27/03/13 03:49 AM Author Share Posted 27/03/13 03:49 AM OK sounds like I have a MK1 but hopefully still got the upgraded internals of the MK2 for the bottom end.All I really cared about was the upgraded internals so I'm happy I have a new question and figured I'd just keep it in here...It's regarding traction control. When I first turn on the accessories I can see a light of the car getting sideways or losing traction which I'm guessing is the traction control light?I see the same icon on a button on the dash which I'm guessing turns the traction control on and off. However when I press the button nothing happens? I was expecting the traction control light to pop up on the dash to show I have turned it on but it doesn't seem to be working? Is my traction control broken or disabled? I've been driving the car very tamely (I do this with all my new cars) and spun the wheels a bit taking off in the wet once... does that mean my traction control is turned off or would it still spin the wheels in the wet a bit if it was turned on?Total noob question I know but would love to hear what the go is? So when you lose traction, the light comes on and you get that annoying shudder and the twerp in the Late model camira gets the jump on you at the lights (no,no, no - just ignore the Late model camira bit). In normal driving, hit the switch and the light stays on - which means it is disengaged.And..... it is your business and no criticism here - but mate why not just ring ford and use the VIN - all this messing around with build dates and badges when ONE call sorts it out. And then it is a simple press of the button to reactivate it. Of course they make it a little harder to turn off so its not accidental.
